School-wide Expectations
Our school has three school wide expectations.
Be Responsible
Be Respectful
Be Safe
These three expectations help our school to establish and maintain a safe, effective school environment that maximizes the academic achievement and behavioral competence of all students.

Positive Behavior
When students show these expectations throughout the day, they have the opportunity to earn Mustang Money from teachers and staff around the school. Every Friday students get to take a trip to our 'Mustang Mall' and shop for prizes which they can purchase with the Mustang Money they have earned throughout the week. Students are allowed to spend their money every week or to save their money for some of the big prizes. Pictures from the Mustang Mall can be seen on the PBIS Blog.
Mark Chart
When students do not follow classroom expectations they earn a mark on our class mark chart. When a mark is earned, the teacher has a conversation with the student about making good choices. This gives the student an opportunity to make better choices. Students need to understand that it is ok to make mistakes, but it is important to learn from our mistakes!
These are our consequences for when students earn marks:
1 mark= Warning
2 marks= One on one talk with the teacher about the behavior
3 marks= Trip to the Thinking Spot
4 marks= Timeout in another class
5 marks= Lunch detention (lose recess)
6 marks= Sent to the office with an ODR (Office Discipline Referral)
Zero Marks Prizes
When students go a whole day or week with zero marks they receive a reward. On Mondays, students who earn Zero Marks from the previous week, are given a certificate. At our morning assembly these students get to stand and wave their certificates to let the whole school know they earned zero marks! They also receive a small prize for their hard work. If a student earns 0-2 marks each quarter, he/she attends a 0-2 Marks party!
